Strange Vantage Behaivour

Arch Viz project of house with a lot of Forest Pack meadow grass surrounding it. I used "export and send as static scene to Vantage". Vantage returns an error message that the scene cannot be properly loaded. I try again with the forest Pack meadow grass hidden. That exports and loads in Vantage just right. I then discover that a .vrscene file has been saved.When I open that in Vantage it has all the Forest Pack meadow grasses included and displays and loads fine.

This seems unusual yes?

If the message was "not enough memory" and you are barely outside the available memory, it's possible that another attempt might succeed.
It depends on what other applications you have running that take GPU memory.

yes I appear to be very close to the vram limit.

You can disable "safe memory allocations" from the Preferences and try using Vantage this way, it might work out better for you.

I did select that option form the pop up warning dialog but that did not seem to help. I seem to be able to just get the scene to load with the FP meadow grasses so I am just barely OK with it.

I would upgrade my GPU but they seem largely unavailable for purchase right now.
