I have a bit of an issue with Vantage. I have a very large architectural file that if I save out as a VRScene and load stand-alone in Vantage works no problem using 43.39G of VRAM. However, I would like to render an animation directly from Max through live link (using anima moving people which seems to work well) I can't get the scene to load it 3Dsmax just hangs and vantage stays the same even with all of the assets not visible to camera turned off and all the static people turned off.
I can get the scene to load pretty quickly through live link with-out the large forest pack grass object turned on (which is just a simple but very large grass pre-set) but as soon as I try and turn the layer on and start a live link with the grass turned on it just hangs. It doesn't seem to matter if I start a live link with the grass turned on or I have the live link running and then turn on the grass layer both just hang. There are other forest pack objects in the scene with plants scattered etc
I'm running an RTX A6000 and would assume I didn't have enough RAM or something (using 21.7G of VRAM without the grass turned on) but the fact that I can open the VRscene in vantage as stand-alone no problem makes me think it's something else?
Any ideas?
