  • How many samples are enough ?

    Hello.
how would you know if certain number of samples are enough for a scene, is it just visually one should assume ? Or can there be an option or tool to just render samples and check it'd density and distribution is fine.
Ideally we use 800 samples for final renders. But we don't know weather its enough for really large scenes.
    thank you.

Well, the noise threshold is supposed to solve this problem - you always use a fixed noise threshold that you feel looks good (not too much noise) and set the number of samples to a very high value (e.g. 10000).
Some pixels will use much less than 10000 samples as they reach the noise threshold early, others might do the full 10000 samples, but hopefully it will be a small number of them.
