So I'm trying to make this work. I've read in several places that I can use rigged anima people in an animation rendered in Vantage, but I have to use Live Link, my question is, how do I render an animation using live link? Thanks!

Hi mruiz79,
You have to use the "Render animation in Chaos Vantage" button from the Vantage toolbar inside 3ds Max: https://docs.chaos.com/display/LAV/R...Vantage+Script

Could we have the "Render animation in Chaos Vantage" button inside Maya as well?
Thank you.

Alexander.Atanasov Hello!, any updates for the "Render animation in Chaos Vantage" button for Maya?

The Vantage integration in Max uses a script to advance through the animation. Even a single frame offline render is started through a special command that is not part of V-Ray. Without specific Vantage integration, V-Ray plugins can only start Live link, since this is just local DR and does not require additional coding.Nikola Goranov

If you're brave enough you could try to replicate the scripts found in "C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\Vantage\dcc_scripts\3dsMax" (specifically LiveLink.ms and UtilityFunctions.ms) for Maya. There are some timer specifics there related to how maxscript works. If you do this you're on your own, i.e. we're not responsible if it doesn't work etc.
If you're not a huge scripting enthusiast you'll have to wait for the Maya team to implement support.Nikola Goranov
