  • Vantage resetting when rendering an animation

Hi, I've setup a scene in Max then activated vantage Livelink. Within Vantage I've added an environment map for the background and light, when I try to render a sequence from Max this all resets to default so I loose the hdri light and background. This has worked before so I'm not sure what has happened, anybody an ideas? Still renders seem to work fine.

I'm on Max 2023 and the latest vray and vantage

Generally when using live-link all the scene data and changes should be in the host app (the camera is somewhat of an exception, you can move around in Vantage because it's easy and fast). We lock part of the UI in Vantage to prevent changes that will get overwritten by the host app. It seems we failed to lock the environment controls. Don't know why this used to work, maybe by chance. It depends on what the host app exports to override the current settings, so that may have changed at some point.

Thanks Nikola, that makes sense. I've exported the animation file and then done the adjustments within Vantage, this is now rendering how I want it.

      Many Thanks,
      Dan
