Parsing Error while opening a VRScene in Vantage

Hello,

I am unable to export a scene from 3DSMax to Vantage. It gives a parsing error. But Live-Link seems to work fine.

Please help me resolve this issue.

We need a scene to reproduce this or at least some details from this parsing error. There is a log file at %APPDATA%/Chaos Group/Vantage/debug_log.txt

I assume you haven't changed the file manually. Is it on a network drive? Sometimes files fail to read properly when shared over a network. If this is the case, try copying the scene and all related assets (textures, mesh files) to a local drive. There may have been an error while writing the file as well, if it was written directly to a network drive - if this is the case then copying it locally won't fix it, but it should work if you export the scene again. If you always get the exact same error even after re-exporting the scene, then it could be a bug in V-Ray and we would need a Max scene to reproduce it (it could be a reduced scene as long as it causes the same issue).

This project has a linked Revit model created by my client. Could that be an issue?

I don't know. The vrscene file is broken. This could be either due to a network read/write failure if this H: is a network share or it could be a bug in the V-Ray exporter (less likely).
