  • Not following Frame Range inputs

    Render Jedi's,

I know I am missing something but searching this form is not showing any solutions so I figured I would ask. I am using the "Render animation with Chaos Vantage, using Vantage UI" button in 3ds Max. Everything comes across great but when I go to set my start and last frames (1000-1600) in the sequence render dialog box and hit start, it will render 0-600, not frames 1000 to 1600, So it's not following what is inputted into first frame/last frame area. I assume I am doing something wrong?

    Hi PixelWindChill,

This is a bug on our side, thank you for reporting it. Can you try with "Render animation with Chaos Vantage" that doesn't use the Vantage UI, this should respect the frame ranges.

    Best regards,
    Alexander

Hi Alexander, thanks for your answer.
I have 2 animated cameras in 3ds max. Cam1 0-200 frames, Cam 2 201-350 frames. When I try to render 2 cameras in Vantage I am have a problem. (
I can only render the camera with active window in 3ds max.
Cam1 - OK, Vantage will render, but when I switch to cam2 in Vantage at 201-350 f. Vantage still renders cam1 with a range of 201-350.
Can you give an advice? Without Re export scene from 3dsmax to Vantage with active window Cam2?

        Thank you

          Hi andrei_afanasev,

Are using 'Render animation with Chaos Vantage' with Live link or from .vrscene?
If using 'Render animation with Chaos Vantage'(without Vantage UI) you have to specify the render camera from the drop-down and set the frame range for that camera.
If using .vrscene then you can open the animation editor, right-click on the Scene track and select the correct camera to render from. Or you can disable the scene track and drag from the camera list the 2 cameras in the Camera track and set the frames accordingly.(https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cB0...usp=share_link)
Tell me if these work for you.

          Best regards,
          Alexander
