  • 3dsmax > export selected to vrscene

    Hi all

I'm not sure if I just overlooked it, or is there a way to export just selected and not overwrite the whole scene ( as if you hide unselected and export it via toolbar )

    many thanks

    Hi Viktor,

There isn't a one-click button but there is a way. Select the objects you want to export then go to the V-Ray menu > .vrscene export > check 'Export selection only' (https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1Tozg...2c_Jjm_f ). Then you have to import it in Vantage with either drag'n'drop or File>Import and select to 'Merge' the new scene so it is placed at the correct place.

    Best regards,
    Alexander

Note that this depends on the setting in Edit->Preferences->General->"Dropped scenes". It should be set to "Ask" or "Merge" for this to work.
