  • Problem with animated opacity in Vantage

    Hello,
I would like to render animation in Vantage with some elements which are not visible at the beginning but later gradually they show up (flat text, logo). I used for this VRaymat with animated VRayColor in Opacity slot (red arrow at attached screen grab). It renders as it should with CPU but when I link this with Vantage opacity map does not work (in Vantage Render settings I clicked icon which enables opacity maps). After that I tested Standard material and I animated Opacity value, but it didn't help either (yelllow arrow). I wonder if there is a way to get this effect in current version of Vantage?
    Regards Rafal

Vantage supports only clip opacity for now, i.e. 0% or 100%.
The only work around is to use refraction with IOR 1.0 and animate the refraction color. It should work although I haven't tested it.

Thank you Vladimir, this solution seems to work fine.
