  • Saving a scene state of vantage file to reuse

Hello. I created a lighting setup in Vantage that I'd like to reuse for multiple shots. I can't seem to find anywhere to save it as a preset or a reusable scene state. I even thought maybe I'll just save the lights out as a vantage file and merge that into new scenes, but that doesn't seem possible either.

Is there no way to do this? I have about 40 shots I need to use the same lighting in.

Hi, thanks for posting. Could you tell us a bit more about your workflow? What host application are you using (for example is it 3ds Max)? You can open Vantage scenes as config only and this way you will have the adjustments you did.
Here is a tutorial about this.

I made a test with a .vrscene exported from 3ds Max that has 5 lights in it. Opened it in Vantage and adjusted colours and so on from the available settings in Vantage (you ca change the sizes as well).
Then I added a box in the 3ds Max file and exported a second .vrscene with it. If I now open the .vrscene with the box and then open my previously saved Vantage scene as config the lights update with the colours I've changed and the box stays in the scene as it should. I hope this works for you.
I also added my test files in case you need them.

Thanks for the reply and scene. I have since figured this out. I've just been under the gun with delivering and figured out all the little quirks. Vantage in general is working out great and I can't wait for it to be developed more.
