  • noise ies light

    HI,
Is there a way to limit the noise created by the spot lights? the problem appears in the lower right part of the image, they are IES lights.
I'm afraid that this excessively loud noise that cannot be cleaned could create problems and therefore be visible during the video.
    Thank you

I've seen similar noise patterns (QMC) when changing the light tree samples parameter. Try reservoir resampling (with or without spatial importance) and see if that helps...

Looks like the image you're showing is an in-progres render. what does the final image look like?

          Hi,

this is a test with EXR export with full dynamic range without denoise and without post so no LUT. I would like to try with an external denoise like Neat video but I see that the big problem here is aliasing.
rame time around 3 minutes with rtx 4090 and very high settings but I see that the result doesn't look good.
Now I will try to redo the same calculation with Denoise active.
If you have any suggestions to improve the performance they will be welcomed

Looks good...where is the issue? You might want to turn up your bloom settings so that you don't get flickering on your bright lights.

bloom is disabled. now I made the sequence by activating the Ai denoiser on vantage because I didn't get great results with Neat Video in post. the result looks good even if you don't get many details. I was curious to see if vantage could be used in production but I think it is better to use vray with the traditional method at this point.

I use in production every time. Stills and animations.

Hi Luma3d, I read in a post, I don't remember which one, that you talked about an Ambient occlusion value in Vantage. It's correct?

I usually use the settings from the max file and adjust the color swatch for the intensity.
