  • can vantage 2.1.1 render an animation with non-animated camera?

i'm trying to render using live-link. i have an object in my 3dsMax scene that rotates, but i can't seem to get an animation to work in vantage. ps - i'm not using "render animation in vantage" yet, as i get an error when i click that button (another post). the vantage viewport will update when i scrub the timeline in 3dsMax, but i have no option to render a sequence from within vantage. thanks.

    Hi s_gru,

To render an animation in Live Link from max with the deformations in the Max scene you need to use the Render animation in Chaos Vantage button. You could render an animation from Vantage if you add cameras in the camera track in the animation editor but there won't be any deformations/transformations coming from Max. As I suggested in the other post - for the time being you can downgrade to the previous V-Ray version to properly use the Live Link and Render animation features.

    Best regards,
