Sun/sky connection

I have a daylight system setup. Everything done by that vray instruction video. It also animated sun rise to sun set. The thing is that the sky doesn't adjust. It's constant. It is "pointed" to the daylights sun in MAX but in Vantage it's static. Any ideas?

Not sure how this setup works exactly. Can you attach your .max scene ?
Does it render correctly in V-Ray Standalone ?
You can try this by going to V-Ray menu -> .vrscene exporter -> Export and Render, make sure to check "Export animation".

Yeah, I exported the animation since the sun is rendered, but sky doesn't appear to be.

Sorry for the delay, I had to finish some tasks for our upcoming release.

It seems this is a V-Ray for 3dsMax export issue - you can check that V-Ray Standalone doesn't render the sky animated too.
Your sky texture has "Specify sun node" enabled and this (kind of counterintuitively) causes the sky to get disconnected from the animated sun.
I guess this is because it needs to have its own parameters in this case.

Just disable this option and the sky will be animated in Vantage.
