I was trying to reproduce flames for a biethanol fireplace but I saw that the alpha channel in the light material doesn't work. Is there an alternative way?
Because I tried with diffuse material but the effect is too fake

Hi, thanks for posting. VRayLightMtl with opacity is not supported in Vantage. We have this issue logged in our internal system under LAV-582. I will add your thread to it and raise the priority.

I wanted to reproduce this flame through a moving frame sequence in a light material, in order to have the lighting that varied like the movement of the flame itself.
alternatively I can recreate everything except the standard material but I will not have any lighting contribution. I could put a hidden fixed light.

Can you send us the C4D scene with the textures ? It could be just the flame and its material/textures.
