Hi and thanks for the question.
We have done some work on the Multi matte but it got delayed by some issues. Could you provide feedback on some points when setting the Multi matte up - would it work setting it up in Vantage, or would you expect any already set up Multi matte render elements in 3ds Max to come across ready for rendering?

Like I said above, when I use either of the current options, my Forest grass comes in multi-color, so I can't select by color to get my grass.Bobby Parker

I see. However, that doesn't answer if you would set the MutliMatte up in 3ds Max or in Vantage. I'd like to know that, since it does make a difference in the implementation effort and respectively how soon we could add it. So basically I see two possible workflows:- Set the masks in 3ds Max and in Vantage the MM render elements are automatically generated and rendered as expected. In this mode no editing will be allowed within the Vantage UI
- Discard the render elements in 3ds Max and provide Vantage UI for setting up the masks based on objects or materials.
