  • What's the best workflow to render multiple animations?

    Hi guys,

I'm wondering here, what would be the best workflow for when I need to render multiple animations on the same project? I think it would be ideal if we could save compositions (camera + transition + camera...) as we save cameras, so we can switch from compositions as we want and even add them to the render queue.

But while we don't have that, what is considered to be the best way to manage multiple animations?
    1. Save different Vantage files for different animations?
    2. Add all of them to the timeline and limit the frames to be rendered?
    3. Other?

For me, I change a lot from shot to shot. Different layers, lights, camera settings, etc. So the only option for me is to manually set up each shot, and render each shot at a time, which is less than efficient. Ideally there should be a render queue system similar to Backburner or Deadline, just for ease of use.

suzanne_doherty Agreed, a render queue for the animations would be great! We already have that for images...

P.s.: Regard of the different settings, I think you can use the states to save that information on a specific camera.
