  • vantage shadow matte for moving objects

Hi, Im trying to render a scene with vantage in split render elements so I can postprocess them later in After Effects. I'm using the render ellements from Vantage but I can't find the shadow element. When I add everything in After effects the moving objects don't have any shadow and they look rather fake.

Is there a way to add a shadow pass for the moving objects?

    Thanks

    Hi jeff_coleman,

Currently there isn't a way to generate a shadow element from Vantage. Can you give me a visual example of what you are trying to achieve to see if I can think of a workaround?

    Best regards,

I made a vray matte material and a white background for the shadow matte with the objects hidden and composited that in after effects. It'works but it's a time consuming workaround.
