  • Envision vs Vantage

Just a question regarding these 2 packages:

Seems like it's 2 different programs, each with their own pricing structure?
I was hoping that Vantage would be the real-time solution for vray users and that more and more features would be introduced like animated people/cars/foliage (already incl) and other stuff.

Will these 2 programs compete with each other or why would you use one above the other?

Would you now have to pay for both Vantage and Envision to create animations?

Or am I mis understanding this? Please clarify.

Good question... seems like Chaos is double dipping.

Yes, please elaborate on this. As Philip above here, I also thought Vantage would get more and more animation features and animated assets. I don't see where Envision matches in this. I am now paying for Vray and Vantage, and let me be clear that I won't accept having to pay for a third package just to be able to maximize Chaos ecosystem animation production.

Do you have roadmaps for Vantage and Envision, helping me choosing strategy for the coming year? Will Vantage stop being developed in favor of Envision? Be careful so that you don't get chaos in your Chaos with too many different overlapping technologies.

Vantage has already become a vital part of our workflow. It alone has increased my output (Projects from start to finish) easily 200%. This does not only entail the look-dev process, but all the way up to final rendering. To that note, I would like to see it further developed. Envision seems to be more geared towards architectual visualisation?
