  • Best way to Animate and render snow in Vantage

What's the best way to animate and render snow with Vantage. I'm currently trying to use the Particle system in 3ds MAX, but no luck.

tyflow, its free, basic understanding of particle systems is required but its pretty easy. This would be a good way to learn if you don't know as this is would be a pretty basic particle set up. Plenty of rain tutorials out there for Tyflow and then can just adapt to snow. Need to make sure the output is a mesh in the tyflow particle system for it to render in Vantage. Also make sure to 'enable object render state' is checked in Vantage settings from 3ds max otherwise you might experience choppy animation once rendered.

The mesh you use for the snow flakes would be up to you, either create some snowflake meshes or use one of the 3d/2d shapes in tyflows shape operator
