  • Information about VrayEdgesTex please

    Hello everyone.
To run the VrayEdgesTex map, it is necessary to connect it to the bump channel of the material. So if this material has a normal map, how should we run these two maps together?

Just add the node to the bump map and set the round edge size. That's it. You can also use it as a wireframe node when you add it to the diffuse slot.

mate I know how to use it. my question is how can I use this map with a normal map or bump map.

Local Space Bump: When using VRayEdgesTex with normal maps, it's crucial to use the "Local Space Bump" mode in V-Ray's Bump material. This mode allows the VRayEdgesTex texture to affect the surface normals, creating the desired rounded edges.

            You misunderstood what I wanted.

Still not sure what you're asking. I would link the edgetex to the bump map, then link the normal map to the edgetex map.

                Here are the supported configurations:

rounded edges + bump map (note that the bump map must be Source A):
