  • Ornatrix fur and UDIM support

Hi, dear Project Lavina team =)

So, I tried to test my very old scenes, which work in 3ds Max and haven't succeeded...

Does Lavina support Ornatrix and UDIM Textures?

Here is a video with my issue and tests -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ko8v...ature=youtu.be

Thank you and have a great day.

    Best regards,
    Andrew.

No UDIMs yet, although it is on the "to do" list, because it's fairly important. Hair support is trickier and will need some R&D to render efficiently.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Hi, Vlado =) Thank you for the fast answer.

Ok. I will wait for the hair feature =) Because now I see, that you make a revolution and I can see the fast result on my 2x2080Ti with NVLink.

Yesterday, I tested hair mesh and really impressed - how fast is Lavina.

Btw, as I understand - V-Ray Hair Next still not supported too?

      Thank you.

      Best regards,
      Andrew.

        No, it's not supported.
Initially we will have support only for the V-Ray material, we have some more work to do there as well.
Other material types will be rendered as rough approximations, i.e. translated to what a V-Ray material can do.
