  • Light Names

I named all the lights in my VRay for Rhino scene but when I export and open the scene in Lavina the lights have no names. Is there a way to see the light names in Lavina?

We can't reproduce the issue here. What version of V-Ray for Rhino are you using? Can you share a simple vrscene file that showcases the issue?

Hello Nikola. I was able to identify the problem. Project Lavina displays the Object Name given in Rhino, not the name of the lights in the VRay Asset Editor. I named all my lights via the VRay Asset Editor but left the Object Name blank in Rhino. Should those be linked in some way so this doesn't happen, not sure if there would be any downsides to that.

The V-Ray for Rhino team made some changes to how they export vrscene files, so in the future objects should always have a name when imported in Lavina. This change will be available when the current V-Ray 5 beta ends, later this month. I assume you're not blocked by the current state of things, correct?
