  • Configuration (.vrdx) Files on Vantage 1.2.1 - Deleting Cameras

I am trying to figure how to setup Vantage 1.2.1 where the same single scene has 2 lighting options -daylight and dusk- by following the example in the Getting Started and to find out that there is no longer this option for creating the .vrdx in the File menu nor explanation on how to configure this options in the newest releases. can someone describe the process to follow for doing it?

Also, when loaded my .vrscene I can't delete any of the cameras from within Vantage. Can someone explain how can a saved camera be deleted?

    Thank you

Hi. We changed the extension from .vrdx to .vantage once we released version 1.0 and revealed the final name of the software. But the file is the same. And you can still save it from the file menu with "Save Scene" or "Save Scene As".

Cameras that are part of the source vrscene file are read-only, so you can't remove them unless you re-export the vrscene from 3ds Max (or whatever app you're using). The vrscene file is read-only in Vantage. Cameras created by Vantage can be deleted (double click the X button) as they are not part of the vrscene file, they are only saved in the .vantage file.

Saving different configurations of the scene in a more user-friendly way is something we hope to implement in the not too distant future. For now, you could try using separate .vantage files.

By the way, there is a long national holiday here starting tomorrow, so me and most of the team may not be checking the forum in the coming days, in case you have further questions.
