  • Materials and Textures do not import to Vantage

    3dsMax 2020 with VRay Next 3.2 to Vantage 1.4

After exporting the scene as .vrscene, no texture is imported in Vantage. Only glass materials and a grey material with no texture is applied. I realize that Vantage does not support every material/texture but most of these materials are standart VRayMtl with bitmaps as diffuse, bump etc.

Tried collecting all textures in a seperate folder in local disk and relinking in 3dsMax. Exporting this way did not help either.

Here's a screenshot from 3dsMax scene and Vantage:

Just as a sanity check, are you sure the exporter has 'export materials' etc. checked?

This looks like an override material. Check V-Ray Render settings (or Global switches for CPU mode).

Thank you, this is totally it, I simply overlooked to check the option. We excluded glass materials when overriding so only excluded materials show up in Vantage. I'll leave this post up just in case someone else makes the same mistake.
