  • Bump Map - tiling not working

    We're looking to add a subtle 'orange peel' bump map to some Vantage compatible auto paint materials. Generally we tile this several times to get the scale right.
    But I'm seeing that tiling has no effect.

    Map tiling works when used in the color channel, but not in bump maps.

    Hi aTanguayII ,

    Bump map currently works only with 'Explicit Map channel' mapping. From the screenshot I see that you are using Planer from World XYZ which is not supported for bump map yet. Planer from Object XYZ, VRayTriplaner, VRayUVWRandomizer, Noise, in general procedural textures will not work for bump. We have that logged in and will be available in future version but cannot give an ETA

      Ah yes. My bad there.
      Also found out that clear bump isn't supported yet. That's where I was messing up.

        Coat bump has initial support. Currently you cannot have different bumps for coat and base. Only 'Lock coat bump to base bump' works but we plan to improve this in the future. Unfortunately I cannot give ETA on that.
