  • frosted acrylic texture

Have read the other opacity posts but not finding a solution. Cannot get vray materials frosted glass material to work in vantage. Have tried to find work around with no success. Max 2022, vray 5. This is a major project so any input appreciated.
Everything else working great.....except maybe lightsource glow.....

The only way you can archieve frosted glass in Vantage is to make a noise texture in Photoshop and put it on the glass with small dimensions in the bump map slot. We dit this in the attachment for the room on the right.

Could you elaborate on "lightsource glow"?

Thanks VR Studio...will give that a try! Trying to halo light a logo on a wall using an emitting light texture. Works great in max but not in Vantage.

We support textured lights. Could you add some screenshots from Max and Vantage and ideally if you can, send me or Vladimir Nedev a small scene that we can reproduce the issue with? If it is a bug this will help us fix it.

            Hi lat26com,

Have you by any chance set 'compensate camera exposure' option in the material for the light texture? If so this is not supported in Vantage yet, do you would have to manually increase the intensity so that it looks good in VAntage.

            Best regards,
            Alexander

Thanks Alexander. Yes the compensate camera exposure option is checked. Will try unchecking and boosting intensity level for the animations. Doing both renderings and animations on this project so working back and forth with Max and Vantage which is actually giving really nice animations not normally possible on short project timelines!
Kudos to your team for bringing this product online!
