  • High resolution renders artifact

    Dear chaos group,

    Today we've tried to make an 8K+ resolution render in vantage but this gives a lot of artifacts.
    The render enclosed had a original resolution of 8960 x 5040 pixels.

    Is it also possible to implement a option to render highres pictures in sliced tiles with a little overlap and then merge them together in post? Unreal has a comparable option and this solves a lot of memory issues.

    Are you using a single or a dual GPU setup? We will consider the option for sliced images and will inform you if there is some development.

      Many thanks for your reply and for this image we used one single RTX 3090.
      Nice to hear that sliced images would be possible in the near future.

          Hi Alexander,

          It happens always when we go higher than 8192 with the resolution width.
          In this way we can't render high quality stereo VR (max 4K per eye). It would also be nice if we can render each eye seperate in the future.

                A tiles option would be indeed great. We want to render out at least 8k if not higher.
                would there be a workaround for now? Like render region in 3dsmax e.g.
