  • Some problems about vraydome maps

    I tested using vantage 1.42
    Currently, vraybitmap is supported directly within the vraydome
    However, when I put vraybitmap into colorcorrection or RGB tint and associate it with vantege, vantege cannot read the nested vraybitmap
    Vraydome maps vraybitmap (normal reading)
    Vraydome maps colorcorrection RGB tint vraybitmap (failed)

    Hi q976431,

    By "cannot read the nested vraybitmap" do you mean it doesn't load it in the environment or it does not apply the color corrections but still import it?

      It is not loaded properly in the vantage environment
      Is color correction applied
      Because I can't read the nested vraybitmap now, I haven't been able to test whether the color correction result is correct

          Color corrections are not supported for the HDRI environment.
          Only for the physical sky, but it's limited to a few of the "Color Correction" parameters.
          This is because the physical sky is a baked texture anyway.
          We have it logged to improve this and allow color corrections for the HDRI environment.

            Will you consider supporting the following situations?
            Vraydome-maps-(colorcorrection-vraybitmap)
            Vraydome-maps-(RGB tint-vraybitmap)
            Vraydome-maps-(colorcorrection-RGB tint-vraybitmap)
            Even if the color correction result cannot be applied, at least the vraybitmaphdri contained in it should be read for vantage

              The ColorCorrection node should already be skipped properly.
              I will add skipping of RGB tint node as well.

                When I tested 1.5.0, I got the correct results. Thank you very much
                At present, I also found a problem
                Vantage will not update automatically when I change the Vray bitmap map link in Vray dome
                I guarantee that live link has been linked normally

                  Unfortunately, when I test vraydome, I can't get real-time feedback on any parameters
                  But vraylight plan is normal

                    The vraybitmap that has been modified to the new map will take effect
                    Does this need to be optimized?
                    Because vraydome cannot be adjusted in real time, it will lack some convenience

                    For example, vraydome-map-vraybitmap horiz.rotation is associated with vatage in real time for rotation adjustment
                    Now these vraylight planes are adjusted in real time normally, but the vraydome is invalid

                      The Live Link currently have these limitations and require a restart of the Live Link Session in order to be updated properly.:
                      • Updating of:
                        • V-Ray Proxy files (.vrmesh)
                        • Environment
                        • Light textures (e.g. rectangle light texture, dome light texture)
                      We have these in our TO DO list but cannot give ETA on them. We will let you know when there is some development and they are ready.

                          Hi, I come to feedback related questions again
                          I have seen that the previous issues have been fixed in the 1.5 and 1.6 updates.
                          But there is still a related issue, because VFB2's LightMix To Scene will nest a VrayCompTex for the outermost layer of the Vraydome map, if my Scene used this button earlier. Then the problem arises again. Could you also support VrayCompTex?
                          The Vraydome map after LightMix To Scene is no longer linked in real time. Hope to fix this problem
