So, I was working on a vrscene and everything was going smoothly until one point where Vantage complained about not having enough vRam. I restarted my PC and now, when I open the scene (both the original .vrscene and the .vantage files), all maps and proxies are simply gone. You can see on the screenshot bellow that it was actually working fine until that point. Any thoughts on why this happened or how to fix it?

Yeah, it's the latest build (I mean, was until this morning, I just saw 1.5.3 is out now).
The log says it's not finding the directories.... Maybe it's something related to the network. I'll look into it now.V-Ray Evangelist, Trainer and Freelancer

Remade everything in Max and tried the live link and, then, the static option... I'm getting this (it's a 3080):

Copying geometry data to GPU took 536 ms, copy scheduling alone took 439 ms!

Is it really lack of memory? If so, how was I able to load the scene previously?

Have you disabled "Edit->Preferences->Safe GPU allocations"? If you haven't, this might help you load the scene, but the app could crash. It may also run quite slow when this is disabled because not everything fits in VRAM at the same time.
The available memory could vary a bit each time. 3ds Max could be using some of the memory too. If you're not using live link try closing Max. Also before loading the vrscene file select 540p render resolution for the viewport to additionally reduce memory usage. Note that there is a peak in memory usage while we're loading geometry and once the scene is loaded the usage drops down a bit (so you could probably return to a higher res).Nikola Goranov
