Vantage 1.5.3 Material Slection

Hello!

I just installed Vantage 1.5.3. I exported a project from Cinema 4D but the material selection and drag and drop assignment with CTRL and ALT doesn't work for me at all?
Can only assign the materials individually!
The one with the dome light in Live Sync works great.

Can you explain a bit more ?
We allow only a single material to be selected and assigned, is this the issue ?
What do you expect to happen if you have multiple materials selected ?

1) I would like to select an object with one material and then select all objects with the same material and cover them with a different material at once!
2) It would be great if the object groupings according to the JPG enclosed would be displayed by Cinema in Vantage right away.
3) These two points would be very valuable for customer presentations so that I could assign geometries and colors for the drawings with one click.

That's what drag&drop of a material with Alt pressed does. But you don't select, just drag&drop.

However, it will most likely NOT work with a .vrscene exported from V-Ray for Cinema4D because of the special UVW handling.
It creates a special material per object that does the UVW assignment and to Vantage this looks like all objects have an unique material, thus the replacement fails.

You mean the object hierarchy ? I think this requires a change in the V-Ray for Cinema4D exporter.

Yes, I mean I can't select several objects with the same material and assign a different color for customer presentations at once, now I have to select all objects individually and then I can cover them with a new material, which is very time-consuming and very cumbersome! Would be great if they could do something there and with the Hirachy too.
