Curtains and transparency

Can you elaborate more? If you are asking if gradient textures for opacity are supported then no, if you are asking if 2sided material transparency is supported then yes.

Soft opacity animation is possible? I've tried with visibility, material (tried vray color as well) just no-go.... Object appear suddenly.

Especially with live link (clip mode), opacity maps works well. Also you can use glossiness B/W as well.
