Vantage doesn't support rendering Phoenix FD or other fluids at the moment.

Further to this I'm trying to render some Phoenix fountains, alas the same problem, is there any plans to add support in the near future? Seems strange to ignore Phoenix.
Thanks,

Hi luckett_jason@hotmail.com ,
We probably will not add support for Phoenix in the near future but we will have it supported at some point.
Hi deyan_asenov ,
This can work but the transparency/opacity texture only works as clip(meaning only white or black, no grey values) which is not suitable for smoke. You have to use the texture(you have to invert it if it was previously used for Opacity) in refraction of the material and set IOR to 1. This will work but if too much planes overlap will reach the max refraction depth(max 16 that you can set in the Render tab) quickly and any planes after that will render black.

Thanks for the clarity over Phoenix Alexander.Atanasov .
It seems to me only a few things are missing from Vantage, these are running water (such as fountains), atmosphere (such as god rays, steam, etc) and perhaps sound effects. Is there going to be a way to integrate these in future? Moving people would also be useful within the Cosmos browser, I understand that's a big ask but perhaps a deal with AXYZ Anima people or similar would be a start?
Also with the live link running inside 3dsmax, am I missing something what's the point in Vray GPU inside Max, shouldn't this be used instead of Vantage, seems like a cross-over.
One last thing would be some documentation explaining good working practices, ie. lo-poly models, textures sizes and types, etc.
Many thanks as always for your great support, it really makes Chaos the company it is.
Jason
