  • Render turns out smudgy?

Hey guys, anyone getting this issue with vantage? Some parts of glass or light turn out quite smudgy. But it only happenes at times, not always.
It also happens often with mirrors.

    Let me know.

Try using more light samples. Go to Lights->Advanced and increase the samples value next to the "enable light tree" checkbox. This reduces noise in the raw render when you have many light sources. It will make rendering slower, but of higher quality. Maybe you could reduce the number of camera samples (that you input in the render dialog) to counter the increased render time, since the image will have better quality.

There was a similar issue here which I think was resolved by doing what I described. The thread may be a bit confusing as we mixed several topics and ideas. https://forums.chaos.com/forum/chaos...-noise-problem
