Thanks. The installer log looks normal, there is no registry error. So it must have created the Uninstall key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Uninstall\Chaos Vantage). I still think it's likely that some kind of security software later deletes the key.

The only security I have is Windows defender. I can try to turn it off, but it still would be a Vantage issue, I would think.

If I understand correctly, the Uninstall registry key for Chaos Vantage exists after you install it, so the first time you run 3ds Max it can find it. And after that it's gone (cue X-files theme). Can you verify this is what happens? I don't know how running Max could wipe the key...

Seem about right. I will have to check to see how many times I open/close MAX before the toolbar is gone. I have a feeling it has something to do with one drive. I also can't view textures in the material browser. When I click to view image, nothing happens. The path is to One Drive.

If you haven´t solve this issue yet, try reinstalling Vray and chances are the problem will be gone.

My Photoshop has been failing, so I am pretty sure it is a Windows thing. I logged in under administrator, which I never had done. I was a user with administrative privileges. I'll let you know if this solves the problem.

Nope! The toolbar still doesn't stick. Maybe it is the same reason that I can't view bitmaps when using a Vray material.

Who do I have to pay to get this working? Still, the toolbar is removed every time. Actually, I think Vantage is uninstalled every time, since I can't recreate the toolbar, because it isn't there anymore/

Support was kind enough remote in, and the toolbar didn't delete after many tries. But, of course, I was stumped, but this morning, it was gone. So, this implies maybe Microsoft is removing it when Defender scans?

Defender isn't treating anything as a threat, so it isn't virus software.

How about as a workaround, until somebody comes up with someting better, creating your own custom toolbar and stick the commands on that instead?
Or, create a custom menu item, and stick it in the menu...

Vantage is gone from MAX altogether, and you can't create your own toolbar.
