  • Chaos Vantage cannot use Vray Displacement Mod?!

    Hi,
I would like to ask why the Vray displacement Mod is not available in Chaos Vantage.
If you can, please tell me how.
If not, please let me know if there is a solution to the problem
    Thank you very much.

Are you asking for the ability to use V-Ray from within Vantage?

I hope "Vray display mod" in V-Ray can be displayed in vantage!

The 3DMAX for V-Ray texture is loaded with quixel bridge, but vantage does not show the bump of displacement

          Hi nbabababa_nbabababa,

Chaos Vantage currently doesn't support displacement which happens at render time. It is in our TO DO list but cannot say when it will be implemented. As a current workaround I would suggest using actual displacement for the geometry (you can Turbosmooth/Tessellate/Subdivide the geometry and add a Displace modifier with the displacement map from quixel). This will greatly increase the file size and requires manual work but at least you will see those details (provided the geo has enough polygons).

          Best regards,
          Alexander

Thank you very much for your reply, which is very helpful to me. Another problem is that Chaos Vantage does not seem to support vray environment fog
Or can I do “Tyndall effect” in Chaos Vantage?

Currently a "Tyndall effect" is not achievable inside Chaos Vantage but it is in our TO DO list. Will inform you when there is some development on the matter.
