  • The frame range of vantage rendering is different from that of 3dsmax

When I set the frame range of 3dsmax to the starting frame other than 0 frame,
For example, 75-175 (01) in the figure below
So when I use real-time link and start sequence rendering through the plug-in in 3dsmax, I have set the same 75-175 as 3dsmax,
But when I click OK, vantage tells me that the sequence to be rendered is 175 pieces (02).
    But it should be 100.

Then in this case, vantage will stop after rendering the first image. Subsequent images are no longer rendered.

Another plug-in that pops up rendering settings in vantage, which I have also tried, will also lead to an abnormal number of frames.

    Hi q976431,

This is a bug and thank you for reporting it. I have logged it in and we will investigate it further. For the time being, as a workaround, you can leave the start frame in Max at 0 and just set the Frame ranges in the Render animation via Live Link dialog.

    Best regards,

yes. I currently use this method as a temporary solution
We look forward to a later version to fix this problem

In addition, I submitted a request for better fog effect. And requests to support keyframes.
At the same time, I want to ask. Is there any way to make a fog effect that follows the color change of the sky through vantage?

Currently no. It is something that we will improve in the future but this will probably reduce performance.

Maybe you can provide an option to turn it off temporarily, then do something else, and finally render and turn it on

Meanwhile, if vrayfog and 3dsmax fog can be supported as soon as possible
Then I should be able to use the settings in 3dsmax to flexibly achieve this effect. I sent you a related case scenario before. It uses a special technique to simulate through 3dsmaxfog
