  • Phoenix foam/mist mesh not showing

    Hi guys,

Do you know how to get the mist or foam element from Phoenix within 3dsmax showing in Vantage?

I can get the Phoenix source emitter object rendering by adding an edit mesh modifier in the stack, alas the foam and mist sub-component doesn't show up with the same modifier applied.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi Jason,

Currently there isn't a way to render particles with foam or mist shader. If the particles have some geo volume to them then it should render fine in Vantage. We have such a request but I cannot give time frame when it will be implemented. We will inform you here or keep an eye on the Announcement category of the Vantage forum for the release notes on new releases.

    Best regards,

        Hi Jason,

We haven't yet implemented support for particles but you can try this workaround with tyflow to generate spheres which will render in Vantage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8OpSC7v8s8

        Best regards.
