Hi all,
I wonder if anyone else is getting this problem? It doesn't seem an isolated issue. What I'm getting is stuck repeated frames using the Max to Vantage method mentioned below.
Previously I used to export the 3dsmax scene wholly into Vantage and render as a super quick stand alone in there, fantastically quick and stable but alas no deformable mesh support.
Recently I am trying to incorporate deformable meshes like moving people, fountains and wind for plants. This is only possible through rendering from inside Max using the Vantage button 'Render Animation with Chaos Vantage', essentially using animated LiveLink. What happens is that it starts rendering then randomnly gets stuck on a frame and repeats that frame over and over again. I think when 1.7 was released there was an initial issue with frames being stuck on the first frame, maybe this problem has resurfaced in a different guise in 1.8.1 ?
Any help appreciated as it's a bit of a pain, especially as when you send the job again I'm getting slightly variable renders and flickering lights.
Thanks as always,
Jason
