  • Vantage 1.8.5 crash

    Hi,
I get this message when I click to render a scene. I thought my exterior was too heavy but now it happened on an older scene that used to render fine. The scene works ok, I can slide the timer and the camera animation plays ok but only when I click the render in the lower right corner do I get this message in the attachment. I'm not allowed to upload dmp file here.
    Thanks

This kind of crash is usually not caused by lack of GPU memory.
It's probably a regular CPU crash.

Can you can please upload the dmp file to dropbox or other free file sharing service and post the link here ?

Can you please also share the log file from %AppData%\Chaos Group\Vantage ?
You need to copy it just after Vantage crashes, because it gets overwritten every time you start Vantage.

Yes, here it is. Please let me know if you can use it. Not sure if I started Vantage yesterday again. Think I didn't. The log is probably of the latest file then.

Hi there. I had the same issue. I resolved simply updating my video card driver to the latest version! Let me know

Yes, the issue seems to be caused by the driver not supporting a newer AI denoiser mode that we use. We failed to handle this error condition properly.

Yes it might be...just bought and installed a new card, installed the latest driver and it's working perfectly now thanks!
