Live-Link works only at the first connection - once stopped it won't connect again

Hi,
I have issue with Live-Link only working for the first launch after opening max.
If I close session and try to reconnect again after some time it won't work.
It tries to connect I guess but it fails.

Restarting Vantage doesn't help. Only if I restart Max it will connect again.
Here's the error message I'm getting.

How can this be fixed?

How do you close the connection to Vantage - by closing Chaos Vantage or from the Live Link button in the toolbar?

I doesn't matter, in both cases the livelink will stop working.

Also, in such case when I try to use "render animation with chaos Vantage", I get and error that Vantage has to be started first. When I start it manually, it still does not recognise it being on.


So far I downgraded to 1.8.4 and is all good. Not sure if it's newest Vray-newest Vantage combo but it's very frustrating. (especially while working with big scenes that are loading in 3ds max forever, restarting Max to get Vantage to run again is a real pain)
Hope version 2 won't have this bugs.

Is ,by any chance, Vantage live link server stopped or set to use a port other than 20701 (you can check both from inside Vantage from Live Link menu )?

No, I've looked through similar forum threads and made sure it's all set up as advised.
Server is also set to start when aplication is launched.
Tried to disable firewall etc, but nothing helped. (only downgrade to previous version)
