  • Issues export animated objects to vrscene

    Hi
What could be the reason that when exporting an animated scene with animated objects in vrscene, not all objects are exported, and there is also an animated bend modifier that does not work.
    Thanks

    Hi tim_abr,

In order to see the animated deformed meshes you need to use the "Update textures and animated meshes for the current frame" button on the right side of the time line when you are in interactive mode(or use the shortcut U). When you render high quality the frame is updated automatically. We have it in the TO DO list to improve this behavior. Please tell me if this works for you?

    Best regards,

I noticed that when importing *.vrscene back into 3dmax, there is no animation on these objects, so it's not about vantage, but about exporting the scene from 3dmax to *.vrscene

You can export animated .vrscene using the 'Export and send the current animation range as a .vrscene to Chaos Vantage' from the Vantage toolbar or from V-Ray menu>..vrscene exporter and enable Export animation.

Yes, I enable animation export when exporting to *.vrscene. You misunderstood the essence of my problem. For example, I have 50 animated objects in the scene, but when exporting to *.vrscene immediately in Vantage or through the Vray menu, the animation is not exported on all 50 objects, but on 45. I exported several times and each time on the same objects animation disappears. Tell me what could be the reason.
          Thanks)

Can you send me the scene to investigate on my end? You can use the Chaos Help Center to send the scene.

              Hi Alexander,
Part of the scene with non-exportable animation objects in the archive. Scene_FOR_CHAOS_GROUP.zip
And vrscene how does it export for me. VRscene._FOR_CHAOS_GROUP.zip
              Best Regards.

                Hi tim_abr,

We found the cause of the issue - when motion blur samples are set to 1 objects are not exported with animations. If you check 'Use default motion blur samples' instead of specific 'Motion blur samples' in the V-Ray object properties then the objects are exported with proper animations. We logged it in our system for a fix in the future.

                Best regards,
                Alexander
