    Hello,

    When using spot lights, with Falloff, the High Res Render will leave a harsh edge, rather than a soft edge.

    In the preview / Live Link it always shows it as a soft edge.

    I can get a a soft edge, but need to raise the samples to 300+

    Just seems very odd that the preview will soften the edge quickly, but the High Res Render doesn't.

    Any ideas? Using 300+ samples will kill rendering times.

    If it gets better with more samples, it must be noise related. Are you using different denoisers in interactive and offline render mode? Which ones? If there are dozens of light sources in the scene this makes light sampling harder. You may need to turn on "reservoir resampling" or increase the light tree samples to reduce direct lighting noise.

      Thanks! Increasing the Light Tree Samples has worked, and I can leave the rendering samples at 100.
