  • Motion blur with Anima character

    Hi,

I'm on Vantage 2.1.1. I can't render with motion blur applying to Anima people.
I remember I did a test a few months ago and it seemed to work nicely, but not this time. (I might remember it wrong...)

    I'm using Live Link

This is my camera setting. I also have 1 seconds time offset on Anima.

On vintage, I already enable Motion Blur

I wonder if anyone could make it work on 2.1.1?

    Thanks,

For additional information, I also tried with simple animated objects (box moving from left to right) and motion blur doesn't work on it as well

    Hi zhang_jian,

Currently Motion blur does not work for deforming meshes, such as anima characters, it is a limitation. It only works for transformation operations - move, scale, rotate. We have it logged in our internal system(LAV-916) as a task for future improvements. Maybe you have set a moving camera, where motion blur is applied to everything in the scene and that was the reason it looked like it worked then?

    Best regards,

      Hi Alexander,

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, that might be it. I did a test on an animation project, so it might be the camera caused the motion blur back then.
That sound great. Hope to see this improvement in the future.

      Best regards,
