  • Forest Pro missing

I'm using the latest version of Vantage, in all the previous versions when I sent an animation from 3d Studio to Vantage the Forest Pro foliage came over fine but now it's not. Is there a reason for this, some way around it?

    Hi devin,

Which version of V-Ray for 3dsMax are you using? Does it work if you use the same scene with an older version of Vantage?

    Best regards,

I'm using Max 2023.3, I don't have an older version of Vantage but yes it worked on past versions. Actually in this animation the FP geometry is animated and that seems to be why it's not showing up because if I remove the animation from the object FP is on it does show up.

So it solved your problem? I have the same problem. None of my Forests are showing up in Vantage with Livelink. Latest max24 with latest vray, and latest Vantage. Actually Chaos Scatter is neighter showing up. Is there a new function disabling proxy objects?

Please downgrade to the previous V-Ray version. The latest V-Ray release exports ForestPro in a new way. We will soon release a Vantage version that supports that.
