  • Vantage doesn't reload the animation secuance

I do work from home so I setup everything on my machine, then I remote to the office to our render nodes, in there I open the file I just set up on my home machine but when Vantage opens it doesn't load the animated cameras that I already setup. It shows the frames but they are all with red fonts characters.
My workflow is to animate the cameras in 3D Max, then export the scene and the cameras.
Inside Vantage I create my time line, and everything works fine, save the scene, then re-open the file on my remote workstation, but then none of the animations works, Vantage only shows single frames.

    Hi cgrant3d_cg,

If I presume correctly, after you make your changes and setup with cameras in Vantage you save a .vantage file and you transfer the animated .vrscene and .vantage file to the render node machines? Could you make a simple scene and vantage file that reproduces the issue and send it to us to investigate?

    Best regards,
    Alexander

      Thank you for the answer.
This is how we work; I am sure many other professionals have a similar workflow.
We have this large scene, interiors, and exteriors of buildings, site environment, different artists work on them, and then they all export Chaos Vantage scenes, I put them together in Vantage, prep the cameras, import from 3D Max or create inside Vantage, then do a quick preview on the same workstation, everything works fine. Then I opened the same file in our render node, and everything was pink. The animated timeline was also lost.
I went back to my workstation, and the same thing happened: everything was pink.
All our assets and files are on a shared server. We don't move files manually. We all have read and write access to this server.
I did PM with a link to a failing file.
      Your help is really appreciated.
