  • Stochastic tiling (VRayUVWRandomizer) doesn't work on bump maps

    Hi,

Stochastic tiling using VRayUVWRandomizer on bump maps doesn't seem to work, though it seems to work fine on diffuse maps etc?

Hi, thanks for posting. The UVWRandomizer is not supported for bump maps. Please check the Vantage Supported Features page.

Ok, I guess this isn't on the roadmap for being implemented? If it was a easy fix I guess it would have been fixed by now. Having stochastic tiling for bump maps on large surfaces would be super helpful, as it doesn't work "blending" normal maps the same way.

We have a report about improvements to the bump that will enable the usage of UVWRandomizer under LAV-485 in our internal system. I will add your thread to it.
