chaos vantage script command failed, try to update vantage to the newest version

hello. yesterday i updated to vray 6 update 2 & i updated vantage to 2.1.1

i've 3dsMax 2024 & Vantage open, in 3dsMax i click the button for render animation with chaos vantage and i get this error (subject line/attachment).

i tried clicking the button for chaos vantage live link settings and get the same error.

i CAN click the button for initiate a live-link to chaos vantage and that works.

any thoughts? thanks

Export and send the current animation range as a vrscene to chaos vantage button works.

Hi s_gru,

As mentioned in this post https://forums.chaos.com/forum/chaos...e-link-problem we will be releasing a new version of Vantage next week and the issue should be fixed. I would suggest that you downgrade V-Ray to the previous version. Apologies for the inconvenience.

I have updated to the recent vantage release 2.2.0 and trying to "render animation with chaos vantage" Still getting the error message: "Chaos Vantage script command failed, try to update Vantage to the newest version" You suggested to export as vrscene but the Camera movement set in 3dsMax is not exporting and I need to render exactly this animated Camera. What is the solution? I need to deliver and don't know how to proceed here.
Nevermind - I restarted my system and the 'render animation with chaos vantage" seems to be working now

Hi maciej_janikowski,

You have to restart Max when you install new versions of Vantage in order for the scripts to be updated properly otherwise they are cached.
