  • AV1 Error

When I go to play my MP4, Windows can't play it, saying it is encoded as an AVI. I remember this being a bug in an earlier Vantage version. I am running the latest.

Can you open it in AE or Preniere?

I don't have AE or Premiere. Also, when I upload it to my review site, it fails to encode, and I have never had an issues previously.

        Maybe that's the answer.

          Hi Bobby,

Do you have Enable AV1 codec option in the Preferences dialog On?

Can you try to toggle it off and see if this way you can open your files?

          Best regards,

As suggested in the thread linked above, do one of these:
              - install the MS codec
              - use a compatible player
              - disable AV1 and keep using H264 as before

I disabled it. I'll see what happens. Thank you!
