  • Washed out textures

    Anyone notice this?

Maybe it's a known technical issue but, when pathing through standard 3dsmax bitmap and not the VRayBitmap you get washed out textures.

    Thanks,

Does Vantage match V-Ray in this regard? If yes, probably not a bug.

Yes VrayBitmap to Vantage is normal, just 3dsmax default bitmap seems to be bugged, bear in mind lots of legacy textures from assets come through using the 3dsmax method.

Hi, how have you set up your colour management? Are you using OCIO or Gamma 2.2 colours?
What are your V-Ray and 3ds Max versions?
Have you tried to reset your V-Ray settings to default (from render setup->settings->reset settings) and does this make any difference?
Do you have this issue in a new simple scene? Could you send us a scene that reproduces the issue?

What do you mean the default 3ds max bitmaps? Convert them to vray bitmaps with the Vray converter and see if that helps.
