Dear Vantage team,
Here is an issue that if you fix will be of tremendous help for all archviz community.
When exporting anima 4d people as vrscene through the vrscene exporter in 3ds max, if you click export settings button in the dialogue then the anima 4d people textures export perfectly but then the anima 4d people inside vantage you cannot relocate, you cannot place them in a different place inside your scene.
As soon as you hit animation play they come back to their initial position.
If you unclick export settings in the vrscene exporter dialogue, then the Anima 4d people in vantage you can move them around in your scene (which is extremely important for archviz film making) but the textures after few frames they get destroyed.
So I have found the following solution: I export vrscenes of anima 4d twice, once with export settings clicked and one without clicking it, then I drag drop in vantage both files which gives different materials, and I drop the good materials to the geometry that can be relocated. And this way it works. You can even
see it in the preview of the materials that look like as if they have loaded the textures from different frame.
Unfortunately this process is not very intuitive!!!
Now that I have figured this out do you think you can help me solve this big mystery and help me tremendously!!!
I read that unclicking export settings disregards render settings, GI settings...... and as artifact it unlocks the geometry in Vantage.
So I guess you might advice me what is this setting that locks geometry when export settings is enabled
Thank you very much in advance!
Please take this request as high priority , because maybe with just one sentence of yours we will all have a huge improvement in our workflows
